AV post 2.4

DAMN winning AV is hard now for Alliance in Cyclone. Im not talking like 50/50 hard, im talking "I aint won a single game yet" hard. Oh well, honor is still rolling in with losses. Probably averaging 200-250 honor. Havent been in WSG yet though with its new rules.

WSG is crazy with the new rules. After the damage bonus on the flag carrier kicked in, my mage could slaughter a higher level warrior in 2 or 3 seconds.

The battlegroup ended and a bunch of is couldn't log in - our characters didn't have a location.

But the big question is - what do I have to do to get Quest Helpter to work again????

Yes! I know. Quest helper is very necessary.

Did my first WSG the other day. I was rocking my warlock for the first time. I didn't realize how fun PVP is. I was glued to the screen, like I haven't been in a long time.

I'm on Alleria and the alliance rarely wins a battleground. In fact the alliance people all bicker and call each other names and refuse to compromise and work together. The horde players on Alleria, by contrast, seem to communicate, coordinate, plan strategies, and adapt as a group. They probably win 80% of the time or more. I have never been in a winning Alterac Valley ever and I've done like 20 of them over the past few months.

I see that the download of Quest Helper was updated yesterday, March 25, 2008, the day after patch 2.4 came out. Hopefully I can download this new update and it will work again. Hopefully....

I've been wondering if my little posse of friends should have rolled horde mains instead of alliance. Seems like a lot of alliance players are minors. I wonder if horde tend to be more adults.

Yes Horde is better but the real change to AV is the Alliance advantage is gone. The Alliance had a straight shot to our RH and General..now it's even and now the Horde wins most of the time. The key to AV is 15 on D(10 at RH choke),5 at IB and 5 from RH move up after the first wave is eliminated.

Harder? I thought they was suppose to correct that with 2.4? They made it easier for them to turtle us? Turtling is the only way Horde can beat us in AV on Crushridge and even then we usually win cause we usually out fight them. They had gotten into the habit of not going for van anymore. They now bunch either at IBGY, in with Galv or the all bunch in right inside the sally port in FW Keep. FW is so closed in its impossible to get around the to RH. But DB is so wide and open its easy to get around us for them. Also our RH is farther from its GY than theres. So if some moron caps FWGY before RH we are screwed. And some moron usually does. :( I haven't been on in a few days. Need to go check this out.

    Peace Out!

From a Horde perspective, I haven't tried AV since 2.4, but before, ~98% of horde pugs lost, and ~99% of horde premades won. You had a choice... sit and wait (sometimes 30-45 minutes) for a premade to form and manage to mostly get into the instance, in order to destroy all with 540-660 bonus honor, or take a pug AV and lose pathetically with 0-186 bonus honor... every time, without a hope in hell of victory.

On My server Allies are dominate on the server and they own our asses in BG. I play bloodelf and we rarely win a BG or have Haala. If we try to take a world pvp arena they are all over it seconds taking it back. Oh and they can't solo anything. They only seem to travel in packs no fewer than 5.

Played my first few rounds of AV on Sisters of Elune the other day. Tried again a few days later. Hordies walked over the alliance every single time. Can't forsee it getting any better the way those typically go. Doesn't help I haven't got a clue yet what to try to do besides stick with the main group and try to kill things. Heh.

I found WSG depended on the bracket though. I found I wanted about 100 marks at the 29 bracket, and prepped to lose a hundred games. I'd say I played 75-80 rounds in the end. We won some, but lost most of them. 2.4 didn't seem to make much difference that I could tell, just changes how you should defend your FC when both flags are taken.

Then I started playing in the 19 bracket and we win more often there, closer to 50/50, esp if we get all 19s.

AB I haven't done as much of in any bracket, but last I was there on SoE, it was a losing game for Alli in general.

Found AB to be more or less the same on Hyjal as well, regardless of bracket.

i'm on cyclone also, im bronzebeard. ya it's been a bitch much of late. lazy alliance need to get their act together and work as a team. i'm sure you've heard people complain about how alliance is lacking in that department.
