DOH!

I am an auction house dork!

There was a pair of tuxedo pants that I picked up for 7G on the AH...they usually sell for around 100G.

I put them back up for 75G...thinking I would make a nice little profit.

.....

I went to the mailbox last night and was all excited because they had sold. I opened the mail to get the money... and found 75SILVER!!!!!

I had accidentally put them up for 75 silver instead of 75 gold!

DOH!

I laughed so hard I started tearing!

You know that's a non rare pattern you can get in Undercity and the mats are nothing to make them.

It's RP clothing. If you pay ANYTHING for them you are utterly retarded and deserve to be E-mugged.

thanks to the new dailies, i can't afford shit right now. there's crazy inflation in AH, and because I don't farm nor do dailies, i'm flat broke!

I'm feeling broke since I spent 5500g on getting my new weapon. I only have 2500g left, and I haven't felt like farming recently, so yeah, I feel like a street urchin.

                Stormherald (with Mongoose enchant)

Leveling blacksmithing from 350-375 + getting Stormherald and the enchant for it costed me 5500g. I was going to get the S3 weapon, but I decided since I had 8000g and nothing to spend it on, and Stormherald is on par with the S3 wep for pally damage, I'd just finish leveling BS and get it, and spend my arena points on the S3 helm and S2 shoulders instead.

and second of all BOOO FREAKING WHOOOOO cry me a river with your 2500g's

i can barely squeeze together 100g's and everything has about doubled in price in AH

Do some dailies! If I do all mine, I make about 500g per character, per day, so I can and have made 1000g/day. I've been more focused on building up honor lately, so I've neglected gold farming, but making gold is easier than ever before.

Gold farming's a cinch w/ sunwell dailies. Too much so. Only problem is that it's created an inflationary effect on stuff in AH. So those primal fires that were going for 20-25g are now like 45g (at least on my server). Funny how an economy works. I think Blizzard realized the error of their ways and is trying to suck gold back out of the system (there are gold donation questions you can trade for rep or even an epithet if you just have nothing else better to do with 1000g).

Farming's definitely easier, meaning your gold has less value against AH items, just not against vendor items like expensive flappy mounts.

I still prefer the Netherwing dailies over the Island ones. That, and I do the Shat and Hellfire dailies first, because they have a chance of dropping Badges of Justice, something I'm in dire need of (and have trouble getting because nobody wants a ret pally in heroics)

I think I am the only person alive who doesnt get BoJ's from the dailies. Mind you, I've been diligently doing them for a while now and have yet to see one stupid measly BoJ from Shattered Sun. Blizzard hates me (or hates night elf hunters with kitty cat pets). Fortunately, I do KZ weekly. . .

There are only a few that drop them:

                            Blast the Gateway (Hellfire Peninsula)
                            Sunfury Attack Plans (Netherstorm)
Discovering Your Roots (Rediscovering Your Roots) (Terokkar Forest)
Intercepting the Mana Cells (Maintaining the Sunwell Portal) (Blade's Edge Mountains)

I try to do 3/4 of these every day. I do Blast the Gateway, Attack Plans, and Mana Cells.

                          Stormherald is a T5/S2 weapon.

I haven't seen any T6/S3 crafted weapons yet.

                          2h DPS (avg)

                          109 D3
                          117 T4

There's more to a weapon that it's average damage rating. Stormherald is almost on par with the S3 mace in DPS, for a paladin at least, because it's a 3.8 speed weapon, and the slower the better for us. It's basically T5.5, S2.5 for us. You're right though, there are unfortunately no crafted S3/T6 weapons yet.

Avg dps isn't weapon dependent. You have have S3 swords and daggers with the same rated speed. What you're looking is the difference between Sustained and Burst. Big slow weps offer big burst damage, as well as frequent procs due to slower speeds. You can also thread easier with a slow weapon. The other difference is the types of attacks you are using, such as the ones that are based off the base weapon damage + bonus. Those hit teh hardest, since it takes the entire weapon damage at once and not the average over 3.8 seconds.

Basically, the DPS rating on any given weapon is to help with seeing what class it falls into, keeping the apples seperate from the oranges so to speak.

To be on par with a T6/S3 wep you would want a 134 dps @ 3.8 speeds, or greater.

None the less, it's still a bad ass crushing device of allie pain. Did you Mongoose it?

Of course it has Mongoose :D

There's more to your analysis than the difference between sustained and burst. We have the ability called Crusader Strike, which causes 110% weapon damage every 6 sec, regardless of weapon speed, and has a chance to proc anything that goes off during a hit.

So, say you have weapon 1, that causes 1000 damage per hit, with a speed of 3 sec, and weapon 2, which causes 500 damage with a speed of 1.5 sec. Their dps rating is the same, but in practice, with my class, weapon 1 has an end dps of 517, while weapon 2 has an end dps of 425. Do you see now why Stormherald with its 3.8 speed is so good for paladins?

Of course, the ridiculous burst damage is huge as well. :)

Oh I know all about crusader strike. It's just like on my warr with his 3.60 wep and firing off a MS and a HS threaded between auto hits. This is even more reason why big slow weps to bigger damage. Then when the Lionheart procs (+100 str), and the Necklace procs (+300 AP), trinket procs (+300 attack) things get very ugly.

You also have to reembe rthe blizz formula that DW two weps in a certain class should net the same over all damage as a 2h wep. Thus why putting weps into the various brackets helps for reletivity.

                                  ;)

You're right though. You have to compare Wep speed with Wep DPS in order to keep everything in teh same ball game.
