OMG Green items are better then my old blue ones and they have a lower level requirement. It's like they threw out all the old scales and started fresh. I'm getting leather scraps again and the craftable items have amazing stats. That and a Fel reaver snuck up on me while grinding. SUPRISE. :P

What has supriesd you?

I've got a Belf hunter, but I spent more time on my dranni priest.

Trying to level my warrior too, I want her to hit 70 first thing so as to be more useful in my raid group. /flex

I got a blue my first hour in the Outlands, a Blade of Misfortune (wow.allakhazam.com/ihtml I've been replacing my Might and Valor like crazy, and it feels weird -- getting rid of a set piece for a green item -- but the stats are amazing.

I havn't gotten to play too much yet only just got started grinding in HFP I got a green pair of plate leggings, but nothing i can use yet except for the knothide leather patches, plus to stamina :P I have noticed the xp bar goes really slow. It looks like what they said about 60-70 taking as long as 1-60 might be true. The highest I have seen so far is 63.

On a funny side note I have a twin brother that plays and last night he made a BE pally so I logged my new BE pally and guess what, except for hair color we picked exactly the same body model. Same face, same hair, same class, the color was close too. This is the stupid stuff twins do, we think too much alike. We usually end up wearing the same thing when we meet to go out or something and we don't live together. :)

Thank god I dont have a twin. I mean, its cool, but the rest of the world really hates me, so if I had a twin, there would be two poorly dressed idiots with horrible senses of humor running aroudn fixing their friends mercedes with fireaxes (true story).

although, it would be nice to make fun of him, tell him he looks like a doofus and stuff.

That's actually really cool, Cody. :)

As for surprises for me in the BC... well, not so much a surprise as a bug, lol. My troll hunter (female) only animates when doing specialized shots. Regular auto-shoot doesn't work. The damage happens, but she just stands there, lol. May be an item issue. I'll have to wait for my next bow upgrade to see!

Ha! I thought the BE mage animations I started were a bit off, then realized I was just used to the troll and undead animations. Seeing regular sort of movements threw me off.

That bug would suck. I love the animations.

Changed weapons and the animation came back. Reported it in the bug forums for the developer types.

Outland is still pretty buggy in a lot of spots. There's also a long thread in the WoW forums about ridiculously low frame rates happening for a lot of folks. Sadly, I am one of those folks. : / Doesn't happen all the time, but a fookin' lot. I wonder if it's part of some background thing or the new maintenance dealie. Though servers still come down for maintenance, so I'm not sure how that live thing is working out. *shrug*

Anyway, hunter is 66. I can do one of the Caverns of Time quests now, I hear. So excited! :D

I started one . . . I think she's still level one. Just not interested, they look like Whos and sound funny. LOL I'd rather be exploring Outlands and hiding from Fel Reavers. THANK GODDESS they finally gave shamans a way to get rid of their totems.

Though in this case, it was a hail to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, may his noodley appendage bless and keep you, lol.

I thnk it came from the animated series for some disney cartoon, maybee Aladin or the Emporers New Groove. My brother told me about it, that and how the cartoon made fun of the similarities between Jupiter and Zues etc and accuesd him of doubble dippin. :P

That one isn't so new, but I don't see it very frequently, either.

I always liked the one from Baldur's Gate, "Remember that while your characters don't need to eat, you do. We don't want to lose any dedicated players."

Tis ok you can use it too. :)

I was checking out the one handed swords in the AH. I am a combat rogue spec with sword spec (chance for extra hit) There is an epic in there called Blinkstrike. 78 DPS 2.60 speed chance of extra attack. Oh and it's One hand not main hand so I could dual wield them. They look like that two handed Destroyer of wrolds sword only shorter and thicker purple and orange and really mean looking. There on the "must have" list so in about 2 years maybee I'll get one. :P There are two in the AH now for 2000 and 21000 buyout lvl 70.

Woof. 2000g? Man alive. I got a Blade of Misfortune in my first half hour in the Outlands, I think I can sit tight and wait for more such world drops if folks are gonna go that crazy with the price.

I did a little more research on Thottbott. The talk is that it is perfect for combat spec rogues. My bet it that it will be nerfed. Otherwise by dual weilding them, I could potentially dump a slice n dice, blade furry, bezerk (I'm a troll), adrenaline rush and spam Sinister Strike. Since my sword spec grants about 5% to extra attack and both swords can proc on a successfull attack, I could get below 1.0 speed with a 150-200 (guess don't have it in front of me) damage sword in each hand. With each extra attack there is a chance to crit and I'm built for white damage too, AP FTW.

Man I just wonder if the animation could keep up. If I don't do it I want to see a video of someone else doing it. :)

I am sure all those prices will drop after awhile. Maybe not to really low prices, but more reasonable. Right now people are paying a lot cause they had their 60's banking stuff and whatnot, that will run lower and the economy will calm down again.

The Blood Elf "twirling jump" surprised me. I really didn't see that one coming. I also didn't expect Dranei to have so many color options...I figured they were just blue space demons. They look really cool if you go for the black skin with dark hair. More intimidating than the Smurf-like pictures I saw in the previews. I also wasn't expecting the Dranei hunters to start with crossbows...interesting, but also kinda lame. Bows look much cooler. Blood Elf females look way too anorexic (they look like they're going to shatter the next time something hits them), and Blood Elf guys are oddly...generic looking, in a way. The faces all look alike, and they're given a choice of about 5 variations on the goatee. Dranei look awesome though, and the Blood Elf starting area is absolutely beautiful. Best starting area in the game now.

I haven't played any of my old mains yet, so I haven't seen the other side of the portal.

Outland is pure chaos, I love it. Watch your back though there are constant wandering moobs or things raining down from the sky. Everyone is so busy and covering their backs that pvp rarely happens outside the three towers, and even then the repeatable quest has you capturing each one so every one just runs around, right past the other faction. :)

...going to SW from Shatt city is like returning home from a fun vacation... ya' just don't want to be there . Azeroth is now like that old toy you use to play with as a kid, looking at it now you wonder to yourself ...."I use to play with this thing.... and have fun?".

Outland is much better than Azeroth... kinda reminds me of "Planescape" in a way. I did find a place in Netherstorm called "Gahena"(spelling).. kinda funny, seems like i hit for 666 alot there.

Has anyone else found Witchdoctor Tor'gash in Zangar Marsh with the baby murlocs? They are too freakin' cute. They make little baby murloc gurgles.

(I love the bizarre stuff that pops up in the game. I once found a 'Chainlink Towel' - it was a gray or white - I don't remember which - cloak that had low armor & the caption "Now even less absorbent!")

I like the blood elf chicks. Okay I'm a sucker for blondes! LOL

I also realised I prefer the Horde. Way less noobs and idiots!

Ive noticed a recurring bug I get a lot now, where I pick up a non-timed quest, but it will suddenly start showing up as "failed" because the timer wore out, although no timer ever appeared. It doesent appear to be stopping me from completing the quest so far, but its weird and annoying (when I am scanning my quest log of quests and have random failures in there).

    hey...

TBC is awesome, if onyl ebcause I'm one of those silly balance Druid types. Whereas before I was kinda, well gimped indamage, now I'm sitting there next to the lock's and mages with a big ole sh!teating grin on my face.

And I suck aggro like a sponge.

Oh yeah...and my first experience with a Fel rever.. as follow:

"quest quest quest grind grind grind..huh..what's that noise? ....."

"SURPRISE GIANT METALLIC BUTTSECHZ LOVE YOU NOW!"

    "ow...my face"

yeah, them Fel reavers is really funny. Can't wait to hit seventy and just kill me a boatload of them.
