Then because I am allie, I lost six wsg runs. Then on the 7th We won and I recieved the medallion first time!

It's a little dragon serpent pet. Nice!

WSG - Rant

I am soooo frustrated right now it's beyond belief. I know this particular rant has probably been done to death, but gaarrrrggghhhh!!!

Been trying to win the dice-roll for the Spirit of Competition pet in the 10-19 bracket of WSG. My battlegroup is Shadowburn... Shadowburn Horde sucks terribly and last night I swear to the Gods I was in two bg's where it appeared the Horde was just LETTING the Alli win. In the first one, almost everyone (except my lvl 19 hunter & a 14 mage) was huddled up to one side not moving & there were 2 or 3 more skirmishing in the center of the field.

In the second one, we had the amazing luck to have a multi-boxing priest w/3 toons... who did absolutely nothing except run around the base in circles & jump off the roof occasionally. This fool took up 3 slots that 3 potentially productive people could have used. We also had a hunter with no bullets.

It is also grinding my appreciation for healing classes down - I single-handedly took out about 5 Alli & had a smidgen of health - a Druid w/full mana runs past me w/no one chasing them & can't even be bothered to drop a HoT on my head. Thanks a lot for your support, moron.

I think it's a little unfair that not only do NE priests get Shadowmeld, they also have Starshards. A lot of people bitch that Starshards is useless because it's cast is interruptable, but I got hit with a heck of a lot of them whereas I could hardly get a Scare Beast completed w/out being stunned out of it. Of course, maybe NE priests actually DO THEIR JOB & may deserve an extra-special racial buff.

Shadow's priests secret Wep in BG

Hey guys. I have a 70 rogue.

My Shadow Priest reached 59, so I'm BGing until I get my War mechanostrider (he's a dwarf).

But I noticed something. People are not afraid of me like they are afraid of rogue. So they ignore me. But that seems to be the secret weapon. People underestimate the shadow priest.

I have fun DOTing them to death, also I'm really good at working in a team with others. If I stand back them them take the focus of the enemy and then I destroy the target.

I'm topping damage charts and killing way more people than I do on my rogue.

Simply Awesome!

Best advice for a new character

If you are totally new to WOW.

My advice is this:

Roll a Hunter. Why? Because it allows you to level easier, and survive easier. then when you are at level 70, you become a farmer for your next toon.

Professions: Skinning and leatherworking. OMG these are a gold mine and so easy to level.

ok for me, it's when people call the other side cowards. i mean wtf is wrong with you? you got 5, they got 2, 1 of them gets pwned in 3 secs and the other 1 runs to safety. how is that being a coward? it's call strategy you morons. i've had to listen to idiots on my vent rant on and on about how horde are all pussies. dude...that's how you play! if you're greatly out numbered, then you seek more allies to increase the chances of winning a fight. there is no point in staying in a 5vs1 fight just to die and wait for respawn.

"oh those horde druids are such pussies, blah blah blah" dude...wtf do you think cheetah form is for in pvp?

anyone that's in high school or below annoys me too.

The other day I was busy leveling my new baby huntress dwarf, and I got to thinking. Some of these animals drop some pretty strange things. I killed a wolf, and it had pants. What is a wolf doing with pants? Are they from the villager he just ate? Then I killed a boar, and it was holding a small red pouch. What's a boar doing with a pouch anyway? Where would it even put it? I can understand the humanoid enemies carrying such things. But the animals? What's up with that? What are some strange drops you've seen?

There was a pair of tuxedo pants that I picked up for 7G on the AH...they usually sell for around 100G.

I put them back up for 75G...thinking I would make a nice little profit.

I went to the mailbox last night and was all excited because they had sold. I opened the mail to get the money... and found 75SILVER!!!!!

I had accidentally put them up for 75 silver instead of 75 gold!

DOH!

How to get the best gear when leveling

Here is a tip that new players may not know.

The best gear for leveling is usually in instances. It usually trumps crafted stuff as well. (But crafted stuff can be good).

If you are a clothie, it makes sense to take up tailoring.

If you check out your character at wow armory, it even has sections to suggest upgrades.

Fastest way to farm those things is to get a higher up guildie to run you, or else pug.

If I'm pugging for a clothie piece, I'll try to construct the group so there are no clothies. Paladin/druid instead of priest etc.

I've levelled alts, I've raided endgame (some of it, anyway; I'm not patient enough to deal with the 'work week' of the hardcore crap), and all I've ever really enjoyed out of the game is... being on vent and laughing over stupid shit with friends, and I can do that anywhere.

A 13 year old from Texas who stole his Dad's credit card and ordered two hookers from an escort agency, has today been convicted of fraud and given a three year community order.

Ralph Hardy, a 13 year old from Newark, Texas confessed to ordering an extra credit card from his father's existing credit card company, and took his friends on a $30,000 spending spree, culminating in playing "Halo" on an Xbox with a couple of hookers in a Texas motel.

The credit card company involved said it was regular practice to send extra credit cards out as long as all security questions are answered.

The escort girls who were released without charge, told the arresting officers something was up when the kids said they would rather play Xbox than get down to business.

Police said they were alerted to the motel by a concerned delivery clerk, whom after delivering supplies of Dr Pepper, Fritos and Oreos had been asked by the kids where they could score some chicks and were willing to pay. They explained they had just made a big score at a "World of Warcraft" tournament and wanted to get some relaxation. On noting the boys age the delivery clerk informed the authorities.

When police arrived at the motel they found $3,000 in cash, numerous electronic gadgets, an Xbox video console with numerous games, and the two local escort girls.

Ralph had reportedly told police that his father wouldn't mind, as it was his birthday last week and he had forgot to get him a present. The father, a lawyer said he had been too busy, but would take him on a surprise trip to Disneyland instead.

Asked why he ordered two escorts, Ralph said he thought it was the thing to do when you win a "World of Warcraft" tournament. They told the suspicious working girls they were people of restricted growth working with a traveling circus, and as State law does not allow those with disabilities to be discriminated against they had no right to refuse them.

The $1,000 a night girls sensing something up played "Halo" on the Xbox with the kids, instead of selling their sexual services.

Ralph's ambition is to one day become a politician.

I was boppin along in Darkshore on my new rogue when I saw someone starting towards a mine node outside a cave where I happen to know that mobs ambush you.

Sure enough, he started fighting one and 3 others came out. I went in to help. He stopped fighting after the first mob was dead... mined the node... and LEFT!!!!

I died.

I whispered to him... "thanks... not like I was trying to help you or anything."

He said back... "If you wanted to be in a group, you should have invited me."

I proceded to explain to him that I wasn't talking about being in a group...that I had tried to help him and he split and let me die. I also told him he better not pull that crap when he got to higher levels.

=)

He came back to where my body was and I guess he was going to help... but I didn't want to give him the satisfaction so I just went back and rezzed at the graveyard and logged out.

Cant seem to progress

Before you flame about our underachievement's...understand that I play with a casual guild with age 21 and over members who mostly all work 9-5 jobs. We are trying to experience as much of the end game as we can before WLK.

My group of regulars has Kara down to a farming science and have been able to do it with 2 holy paladins using a mix of S1, S3, and T4 gear (+ healing is about 1550 and 1850 respectively) and we always have to pug a 3rd non-pally healer. The 3rd healer is always a gamble as to gear and experience but we have always been able to pull Kara off because the rest of the group is experienced in there.

Now the problem. For the past week we decided to move up into the Zul'Aman area and whats killing us???.....no consistent 3rd healer. Last night we even resorted to offering gold for a non pally epicced healer to join. What we had to settle for was a Priest who was grossly undergeared (some greens, mostly blues) who apparantly logged/plug pulled/dc'd on the pull before the first boss. Good thing we hadnt offered him gold.

Anyway, whats the state of healing in your areas. We had a couple of guys volunteer to start healers last night, but leveling them and getting them fully geared would be pointless with the WLK around the corner.

I think im gonna start a guild for epicced tanks and healers and we'll pimp ourselves out to guilds for gold. ROFL. That would be awesome.

FINALLY- solo hunt for tiger to tame in Zul'Gurub

I FINALLY did it!

woot woot! Went into Zulgurub. (had to find someone to make a raid group with so I could get in the door)

Turned left, jumped in water, swam towards the waterfall and got on land as far away from the tigers as I could, mounted ... and took off running up the hill and down the main road. Rounded the back corner and feigned death close to the water line near a tree.

There is a mob that walks the road that I had to wait for. Bandage, mount, take off again till i saw the tigers just around the bend.

Popped a freeze trap and waited for the cub to cross the road.

Dire Maul / Warlock Quest (Rexxar)

DANG! I am having the WORST time trying to find a group for Dire Maul to complete Lethtendris' web (sp?) or my Warlock Quest for my mount. I have tried soloing (everyone laugh, go ahead) and I've been on many nights looking for a group to run it. But I'll be damned if I can find one. I had ONE, ONCE and they fell apart to fast because everyone had their own things more important to do and no one could get their arse over and start the instance.

Harrrrump! What gives with Dire Maul?

2) I wanted something different to do.... so I took my 62 hunter through gnomeregan. I was drinking beer and happily capping a bunch of little icky things. It was fun... and I got 4 blue items out of it to sell.

new patch, quest helper, and mac

My friend plays WoW on a mac, and after updating with Patch 2.4 and then downloading the updated version of Quest Helper, we still can't get Quest Helper to work on his mac. Works fine on Windows machines. The old Quest Helper prior to patch 2.4 worked on his mac.

Do any of you have a mac and use Quest Helper? If so, can you help me out?

I'm like 68 and just don't have the inspiration to finish it up! I'm sure the fun really starts at 70, as they say, but it's just too painfull! I just started (another!) alt, and have a blast playing up until around 20....I've done this countless times, while my main chills in a pixelated chamber of darkness.

I guess I have a low level addiction. Any one else, or am I the only simple guy out here?

Rogue PVP tricks and tips

Okay so i was browsing over on the forums and came across an interesting thread.
Basically it was a half guide to rogue tips and tricks for pvp.

'PvP Tricks! - For the OMGPWNT's Soul

Ever find yourself in need of a new edge in PvP combat? Here are some things I have found to be very useful in the midst of battle.

66+ Only, CoS+Setup Tip 1

-If you see a mage with his Frost Armor on pop on all possible attack speed buffs like slice and dice blade fury if you have it and if your a troll, BESERKING *cough*, anyways after doing so get nice and close to the mage and pop CoS and go at him with all spammage and melee. You will 90% of the time get a resist on his Frost Armor effect and the combo points will literally pour in. In the time of auto attacking 1 mage with just slice and dice and troll beserking I was able to get off 2 5 Point eviscerates and a 3 point with only combo points from setup. Fancy that eh?

Priests+Sappage

-When you are up against a priest and he knows your there wait till he casts his Power Word: Shield (if he hasent already) and once you see the debuff go away count off 8 seconds and go in and sap him. Most priests will not apply their PW: Shield until it is in the last few seconds of running out or they are under attack and it is possible to reapply. After you have them sapped wait for the sheild to run out than do what you would normally do. The sheild is one of the things that lets a priest survive with plenty of health after a rogue gets the jump w/o it he will start the fight at low health and you can most likely finish him with your normal routine.

Mage+Frost Nova'd+Distract

-So here you are against a Mage, Frost nova'd in place Vanish is on cooldown and if you have it so is your CoS, You just need to finish off his last 20% health but he has you! Has you down to 15% and about to finish you off, or is he? Distract saves the day here! In the last couple seconds before his big ass pew pew Pyro or w/e is about to own you is finished casting you can distract him in the opposite direction and cancel his spell! Go figure! And most likely after this much time has passed your bind will break free and you can go and finish off the confused mage who is facing the opposite direction.(great if your daggers btw)

Fleeing Mage+Distract

-Many may have already accomplished this and they know what I mean when I say it is one of the best feelings in the game when you do this. So you just throwed down your uber pro rogue skills. The mage you were defeating is now running away and your sprint is on cooldown. He blinks away, !STOP! Now get ready to own this mage! Use your senses and your natural mojo to distract at the same time he is about to blink. Make sure he faces towards you when you distract him and if all goes well he will blink directly towards you! Quite oftenly right in front of you or within 5 yards. Now hes left without a blink and you can do whatever you want in the time he cannot get away, poor poor mage. Enjoy!

Oh Noes Spell+Vanish

-If you are seeing a giant pyro blast or somthing deadly flying towards you vanish within half a second of it hitting you and no damage will be done, however if you are too early or too late you will get hit.(this is nice if your not yet 66 with CoS)

The Mage Deke

- When your running at a mage with sprint and you KNOW hes going to blink, be on the ready to instantly turn around the second you see him casting blink and you will be amazingly close to throw a kidney shot and beat some clothie.

66+ Only, Chicken Hunters For Supper

-When dueling the classic noob Hunter strat(standing on trap and flare), be brave and unstealth near him and run at him with CoS, yes you can do it while stealthed but if he has a flare you will get unstealthed anyways. Not only do you resist the trap but it confuses the *#!# out of the hunter. Its not every day a rogue you are openly fighting just comes at you like a warrior. I often use this strategy against all classes to just unstealth and run at them from 15 yards away, it totally throws them off their game and is really fun to see them make a 2 second mental thought of fight or flight.

WSG Flag Runner

-When you have the flag in a WSG match and are running away from an opponent this is a nice little trick. This is usable in either factions flag complex, Find the nearest corner to hide behind and stealth. This will drop the flag, quickly go back around the corner and sap your assailant and go back grab your flag and enjoy your 10+ seconds of time to easily escape to a safe distance.

[63+] Only, 3 Seconds of Mage Beating

-When fighting a mage and you have 3 or more combo points gouge the target, flip behind them ASAP than vanish and garrote. Immediately kidney shot him and you get 3 seconds of free action against him. This may not be alot of time to do any damage if it were a plate or mail wearer but against a mage this could easily win you the fight. ''

All props to Supertroll on wrighting this i'm just qouteing his work.

Oh and one more thing, i've heard a bout rupture kiting, and an expose armour trick but don't really know how to do them so if anybody could post on that it'd be great :P.

Found these tips & have used many! Total ownage! lol

Did some retro gaming last night (err...gold farming) and went into strat with a 70 warrior and 70 lock enchanter (im a 70 holy pally). We let the lock pick up everything. Then he DE'd all of the greens and BOP blues. We then split everything evenly. My personal take was about 12-15g in coin pickups, 2 righteous orbs (30g each on my server), 5 large brilliant shards (7-8g each), 8 illusion dust, and 2 BoE blues which went for 55g total. I also got a purple trinket that summons a 55 skeletal warrior for a few minutes (worthless to me but cool SW trick).

Basically, made about 150g (didnt sell the illusion dust- need it), repair bills were 2g91s, for an hour and change worth of gaming.

Any other cool areas to farm with 2-3 70's???

I am really pwning the dps. So much that people are like "Holy cow you are kickass'.

ROFL. It seems like Rogues after 60 get a real boost. I am combat specced, so that may help.

Anyone notice a change to rogues at this level?

First time in Arena and.....

It was freaking awesome. I cant believe I hadnt tried it before. I still have a chub. It was me (70 Holy Pally) and a 70 Lock doing 10 2v2 yesterday. We only won 3 but most of the games were close except 1 where we got PWNED by a druid/rogue combo. They beat us like red headed step children. Regardless, any advice for a Holy Pally in the arena. Im decked out in all the welfare healing epics, have 1 of the battlemaster trinkets (working on #2) and I was armed with an epic 81damage sword and shield (didnt think using the +375 healing hammer mattered too much). Im using a 40/0/21 build (I wanted some offense for soloing).

Last night, playing World of Warcraft, we get a group of five of us together (all strangers) to run through Shadowfang Keep, which has great loot, wolf-people, ghosts, and arch-mages. My mage recently got an appropriately Goth black felt robe. But the best part was this little dwarf who looked like a little angry old white-haired man. He was talking and interacting with all the non-player characters! Basically TOTALLLY roleplaying being this dwarf. Complete with cultural references, comments on religious differences, habits, etc. I'm telling you, it was like watching a Christopher Marlowe play! An hour of nuanced entertainment! His name was Kjorndal. My tall blue Dranei female (Glinda) would occasionally spar with him. "We have a delicacy on our planet that sounds similar to your name... it's Corndog". He would occasionally ask for my gloves or boots or weapons or to take off my robe, and he would enchant them with special abilities and give them back to me. He made my dull staff glow. When it was all over, just when we didn't think we could have more fun, we ran out of the Manor together and encountered a Blood Elf. We taunted him and he blew kisses at us.

That's the closest I come to extramarital sex.

Am I a Bad, Bad Boy?

I'm feeling a little confessionalist.

I have a gnome warrior who is speccing in fury. I can't help but feel like I've made a mistake by choosing that talent tree, because it's kind of silly to think he'll ever be able to compete in the DPS department (isn't it?)

So, I'm kind of torn. I love the little guy. He's an engineer too. I just want to feel good about him. And I don't. Is the Fury tree as bad a choice for a warrior as I think it is?

I want to take him Fury all the way, but I fear he will be loathed in groups, a social outcast, reviled, spat upon, etc.

All that work for nada...

I busted my perverbial rump for 6-8 weeks from November to December to get my welfare epics. Been pumping up the enchants and hitting the rep vendors for the glyphs. Basically, Ive got probably at least 500g and countless hours grinding out rep and mats invested in this set.

I should be happy........BUT NNNOOOOOOOOO. Last night as Im looking for an enchanter to add +81 healing to my gladiators salvation hammer (+375 healing) I was told by a very honest enchanter "Dude, you know that the Season 2 gear is being sold for honor when 2.4 comes out right. The season 2 hammer is like +423 healing". Needless to say I said thanks, tipped him anyway, took my mats and then didnt know whether to laugh or cry, so I popped a couple of beers instead.

Guess Ill try and max out honor and marks and wait for 2.4 to drop and start over again. Just when you thought you were getting ahead...... On a side note, I started to do KARA for the gear and to say I did it (mostly for the gear though) but this gear is so much better...

Who wins in BG's on your server?

I've spent some time doing BG's on Skullcrusher here (Ruin battlegroup), and I've noticed different BG's have grossly different results as far as who wins most of the time.

Alterac Valley- Alliance wins about 90+% of the time
Eye of the Storm- Horde wins about 70+% of the time
Arathi Basin- Alliance wins about 60+% of the time
Warsong Gulch- Results are about 50-50

I'm not really sure why this is, but it seems pretty consistent, at least on my server. Supposedly the map hugely favors the Alliance side in AV, according to a few people I've talked to. I seem to consistently run into terrible pugs in Arathi Basin- that could be skewing my results. I'm not sure why the Horde wins so much in EoS, but we rarely have a problem solidly controlling two towers while preventing a single flag-carry by the Alliance.

Anyone have any feature you'd like to see added to WoW? I was just sitting here thinking... WoW Golf. Have a concept character named JackMurlocson & run around whacking things with a golf club. The Arathi Highlands would make a great golf course, too - only instead of water hazards, you have to watch out for spiders. Thousand Needles would be kind of cool - whacking zombie eyes from mesa to mesa. The Barrens would be okay, too - it does have water hazards. Have a goblin caddy... Normally, I wouldn't look twice at a golfing game, but I would totally play golf in WoW. I spend so much time fishing it's almost bordering on insanity, so why not golf? They could even have a WGA or something, lol.

So Im in Kara doing Opera (Wizard of Oz) and I get a request to change out Greater Might for Greater BoK. I Replied "but I dont have GrBoK". They said All pallies get GrBoK. I said It wasnt offered to me, Im a 70 and I would have gotten it if I could have!. They said blah blah blah. Apparantly I hadnt been back to the Pally trainer since probably lvl 67 and there were quite a few others I hadnt purchased either (GrBoK, 2 levels of consecration, 2 levels of Holy Shock, and ETC). I felt pretty damned NOOBISH.

AH strategy bullpen

I make money on the AH- buy low, sell high. Be patient for good items that do not have buyout prices. Most of the time you can win a bid because folks are too impatient to wait for an auction.
Use thottbot to get a price check on an item if it's not already competitively priced in the AH.
Buy Horde items off of the neutral AH and sell high on the Alliance AH, and vice versa. In RP servers you make a lot of money with clothing that way. Everyone wants an outfit no one else has at the next guild meeting. :)

A story about WoW, me, my daughter, and beyond

Sally (my daughter) gave me her server name and asked me to start a World of Warcraft character that looked like Jesus and was named Jesus. So I was able to get the name Jesus, but it was spelled Jeesuzz. So, Sally then made a huge marketing campaign online and said that Jeesuzz would be walking on water on the east shore of Crystal Lake near Goldshire. See... her level 40 Shaman could cast 'water walking' on Jeesuzz.

So, usually characters run around in the game, but I set mine to walk. And so he walked down out of the hills of Northshire Valley, and the crowd gathered around. Jeesuzz walked to the edge of the dock. I should have told the fishermen there that I would make them fishers of men, but oh well. I stepped into the water, but the spell Sally cast failed... it only works on characters of level 10 or higher!!! So... Jeesuzz sank to the bottom of the lake. When you are at the bottom of the lake and not swimming on the surface of the lake, you can only hold your breath so long, and then you die. Well Jeesuzz died and there was his corpse floating in the waters like a big squiggle of seaweed, and Sally's shaman Nechti swam down and cast ANOTHER spell that she has..... Resurrection.

So, everyone said... "Oh my god! Jeesuzz didn't walk on water, but he rose from the dead!!!"

It was fun playing Jeesuzz. You don't have a lot of gold at the lower levels, and Jeesuzz could barely afford to buy anything. But he bought several bottles of pinot noir, and several 'tough hunks of bread'. So, Jeesuzz went around opening trade with people and giving them wine and bread. And then he'd whisper to them, "Take this in remembrance of me".

Did I mention that Jeesuzz is a warlock?... which means he can summon demons.

So, Jeesuzz said to one person "Take this in remembrance of me and my demon Gaktuk" (that's the name of Jeesuzz's imp he can summon.)

One guy, (his character's name was Oxycontin), said "Oh my god! I have a priest named Gsiz! You are going to be seeing a lot more of me.

So, there we are, the twin Jesii, Jesuzz duals Gsiz... someday we dream we will join with all characters named Jesus or some variant and walk on Crystal Lake together... fifty or so of us... or more... walking on water together...

I mean we are talking about how a dad and daughter play together... The dad pretends he's Jesus, and the daughter tries to make him walk on water, but he can't. The spell won't stick. But he can resist defeat and rise again.

That's what dads do. That's what daughters do.

Plus all the joke implications and all, etc.

Hey everybody!

I'm a noob! I've only been playing WoW for a few months and my main just made it to lvl 53.

This is just a note to thank you guys. I've gotten some really great ideas and insites from members of this tribe that have helped me have more fun and play better.

Specifically the suggestion of having alternate sets of gear for different situations was awesome and improved my game tremendously. That is just one example.

Meeting up and raiding

I'm a hardcore raider on Blackhand, but I moved to Mountain View last year and would like to see about the possibility of joining a guild/server that meets up at least on occasion. I have experience with my Alliance Warrior up to SSC/TK in BC, and raided up to Nax before the expansion hit and then took a year off from playing due to moving here from Alaska. To me the social element of WOW is what makes it fun, but I am also a hardcore raider.

Any suggestions?

How many times have you been waiting in a group trying to find a healer or tank? There always seems to be a shortage of them. I believe that a severe lack of respect towards what I deem to be the hardest roles to fill in WoW is a big part of the problem. Parties will wipe, it is inevitable. But often as soon as it happens you see the snide comments like "learn to heal noob" or "I thought you were a tank". I say to those folks "try doing it yourself sometime". No wonder so many people say "F@#K it, I'll just respec and have fun for myself". Try and remember there is no magic "gain all aggro" button or a spell of " party member immortality". Healing and tanking demand a lot of practice and time to master. I applaud those that are willing to put forth the effort.

New news from Patch 2.4

According to wowinsider, Blizz is planning on rewarding honor instantly after a BG when 2.4 is released. This also means that you won't have to guesstimate what your honor might be from the "estimated honor column" (I lost almost 1k honor one night).

I said (me rogue) Hmm maybe we need a healer or tank?

Now......this is the ultimate PUG test......

They go: NO WAY WE WILL ROCK.

I should have quit the party right there and then LOL

I really dont need to tell you guys how sucessful or not we were. Pretty easy to figure out.

To Leave or not to leave (the guild that is)

So I left my last guild because I could never get any help, they were 70 heavy and all attuning for kara. I was 30 somethingso I basically soloed my toon until my primary hit 53. Then I hooked up with current guild who were all about same level or within 5 levels and it was VERY casual. We had 1 or 2 70's who were always available. I like casual...I have f/t job, wife, 2.5 kids, 1.5 pets, and amortgage. A couple of hours a night was good for me. Well, something happens when you hit level 70 and your a healer (the only truly active healer) and all of your guildies are hitting 70 at the same time..... they all want to hit heroics for badges and get attuned and they all want a healer. Hmmm...during the past 2 months I have gotten to the point where the game has become more of a job for me and there is no longer any sense of fun involved. So for the last 5-6 days I have been doing runs while working in BG's for uber healing pants. Yesterday I had the goal of 1000 honor in BG's to get said pants today but as soon as I logged on....I felt like Cameron in Ferris Buellers Day Off ("If I dont pick him up hell keep calling and calling..."). Needless to say, I caved and did Heroic Bot for daily, Kara for 3 hours, then BM to get more 70's attuned. At that point I was so incensed and pissed off (didnt get my honor- and they knew I was pissed off- and they knew why) that I told a guild officer and instantaneously a guild message appeared that said "Guild Message for the Day- Dont bother ******** for 1 week, he needs ME time". This pissed me off even more. I logged and went to bed after spewing a line of chained explitives so epic they havent landed. By the way, I generally consider the guild a good bunch of guys.

So, tonight is the first true guild run through Kara (yesterday was a favor to a guild officer who had to take a healer if he was to be allowed into a kara group that was doing Prince). I know the guild is counting on me to be there and I dont want to let them down...........but......... I honestly dont know if I want to get sucked into rotations of kara runs/making money for kara runs.

Constructive thoughts?

What is the coolest greyed out vendor trash that you have picked up?

I've pick up a variety of skulls including a 'Teamsters' skull.

Last night I got a bear bone, that can be used as a mace. Looks cool but stats are shite.

Also I pickpocketed teh Human cooking Book off some trolls. Basically describes how to cook humans. I manage to sell one at AH for 1gold. LOL @ what people will buy!

Last night on my main (Horde PvP) server, someone outed a "friend" of theirs in a custom channel I had set up for friends and friends of friends. A small handful of people immediately started making homophobic comments and so called jokes. I was livid. It was so incredibly disrespectful it just stunned me. I went ballistic and chewed out the homophobic schmucks immediately. (Later, a friend actually told me how proud of me he was and said I was extremely articulate through the whole thing. I'm glad I managed to be clear because I was seeing red.) He tried to deflect attention away from the homophobia by asking if anyone in channel was black. So he could tell a racist joke.

WTF?!?!

He stopped because he didn't want to offend anyone. It is so NOT about offending someone. It's about RESPECT. Why is this such a novel concept? I could go on and on about this, but I'll save it for later. For now I'll just point you to an article about a similar subject. Only instead of homophobia, racism, or sexism, it's about perceptions of mentally disabled people. It's relevant for a few reasons: 1) the prolific use of the word "retard" as a pejorative in WoW, 2) understanding of respect, and 3) the power of language.

Just because small minded thinking and insults are common in a gaming environment doesn't mean you should stay quiet. Apathy solves nothing. If you disagree with the use of terminology, speak up. You may get attacked by some of those small-minded folks, but you will affect change. Believe it.

where and how do i get my hands on the gem bag that comes in the mail/pick up from someone in BC. now that i am running around BC i have heard allot about this bag and what i have heard sounds good. apparently you get 1 bag a day and it has gems in it. this happens once your rep gets to a specific level with one of the groups.

Gear Question

Hey guys. I have a lvel 65 Shaman on the Skywall server and wanted to know something. I am Elemental and want to get really good gear but I sometimes don't have time for the instances and raids, but I do have time for PVP. However I do sometimes want to do raids and instances when I get a chance, if I get the PVP gear would it be okay to raid with the gear?

Opinions on Multi Boxing

Okay, so you're in the BG's and a group of warlocks in perfect formation all instantaneously target you and all zap your hiney at the exact same time to the graveyard. I never had seen this technique called multi boxing (http://www.wowinsider.com/tag/multiboxing/) Until this weekend when Xzin and his other alter ego's (#zin, #zin, #zin and etc) were in the BG's tearing new orifices into toons. I dont think its too fair that 1 player can control as many characters as he has the hardware to support using 1 control interface but Blizz has already stated that it is legal under their rules. There are reports of up to 10 toons being controlled in multi boxing. Any thoughts??

Guild Bank Theft

Just learnt a lesson about security.

I have this guild that is for alts and casuals. It's pretty much dead at the moment as I am solo levelling and don't give a stuff about building a guild fo rnow. We have two tabs in the guild bank.

I allowed the lowest rank up to 6 withdrawals because for a ocuple of months no one was using the darn thing!!

So a couple of things happenned.

A level 70 deposited some nice upper level armor and mats.
Some lowbie joins the guild.

Lowbie waits a few days, and then last night withdrew hi entire 6 stack limit of plus 60 gear and mats. Then he guild quits.

I find out the stuff is missing an hour later.

There is nothing I can do.

I messaged him: "I know what you did, you are a punk and thief"
Him: "wtf>"
Me: "You stole from teh guild bank"
Him (playing dumb); "What's the guild bank thingy for? I don't know much about it"
Me: "Go to hell loser"
Place him on ignore.

The point of me doing that, was just to let him know. Not some much that we are that worried about the loss, just that I know he is a low life scum bag. Even if that only seeps into his subconcious! LOL

LESSON LEARNT: Security is important. Structure is important. I must be more diligent.

Alternate Gear

Darren posted a comment in the other thread about having multiple sets of gear for different occasions. I've been trying to get a set of healing gear (for my priest) and a set of pvp/solo gear for the last 10 levels (level 61 now)

what I'm going for with my pvp/solo gear is gear with Spr and Stam and spell crit and/or spell bonus. As for my healing gear, mostly Int, Spr, and healing bonus. The thing is i can never seem to get 2 sets of good stuff. I'll have my "healing" set on most of the time and jsut switch a couple pieces when pvping or whatever.

I kinda lost where i was going with this......is different sets not as important with a priest as with a warrior? Are these the right stats i should be looking for?
